Change not a good sign

The Arizona Republic reports QB Matt Leinart's ascent to the Cardinals' starting quarterback position is no cause for celebration. Instead, it's an indication of just how much has gone wrong this season and perhaps a symptom of the organization's greater ills. Not that replacing QB Kurt Warner with Leinart was the wrong move. HC Dennis Green had little choice, given the interceptions, turnovers, sacks and losses in recent weeks. Blaming only Warner for the problems is myopic, although that's the nature of the quarterback position. No team ever found inspiration from benching a center. But the change speaks volumes about the direction the organization is headed. Read more
