Eagles promote Roper
Philadelphia Eagles10/04/2006 9:21 AM The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have promoted LB Dedrick Roper from the practice squad. Originally acquired by Philadelphia off of Pittsburghâs practice squad in 2005, Roper (6-2, 245) played in six games for the Eagles last season and notched 11 special teams tackles. The Milipitas, CA, native was originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Steelers in 2004 out of Division II Northwood University. To make room on the roster, the Eagles released CB Dustin Fox.
