Eagles promote Roper

The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have promoted LB Dedrick Roper from the practice squad. Originally acquired by Philadelphia off of Pittsburgh’s practice squad in 2005, Roper (6-2, 245) played in six games for the Eagles last season and notched 11 special teams tackles. The Milipitas, CA, native was originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Steelers in 2004 out of Division II Northwood University. To make room on the roster, the Eagles released CB Dustin Fox.
