09/30/2006 10:38 AM The Tampa Tribune reports the NFL has fined Carolina Panthers DE Al Wallace $7,500 for a hit on Bucs QB Chris Simms in Tampa Bay's 26-24 loss last Sunday. There was no penalty on the play, but after reviewing the game tape, the league ruled Wallace's hit in the fourth quarter was unnecessary roughness. Read more
