Lions discard Bradford
Detroit Lions09/28/2006 7:45 AM The Detroit Free reports the Lions released WR Corey Bradford on Wednesday so they could sign OL Blaine Saipaia -- even though that means they will pay Bradford almost $1 million per game (or per catch). Bradford was the first free agent the Lions obtained in the off-season, signing a four-year deal. He will receive his signing bonus of $2 million and base salary of $800,000 for this season -- a total of $2.8 million. He played three games. He caught three passes for 36 yards in the opener, then none in the next two games. Read more
