Stewart hired to repair a problem area

The Pioneer Press reports the Vikings hired veteran assistant George Stewart as receivers coach, the team announced Wednesday night. A respected teacher who developed players such as Terrell Owens and Tim Brown, Stewart replaces the inexperienced Darrell Wyatt. "We're excited to add George to the staff as we move our program forward," Vikings HC Brad Childress said in a statement. "He is a proven football coach that will bring a wealth of experience to the team." Read more
