No surgery needed for Strahan's foot

The Star-Ledger reports DE Michael Strahan does not need surgery on his injured right foot. And he said he'll be back next year. Strahan, whose season ended on Tuesday when he was placed on injured reserve, traveled to North Carolina yesterday to visit Dr. Robert Anderson, the Panthers' assistant team physician. Strahan said Anderson told him the bones in the Lisfranc joint in his foot have not separated. He said there's only a torn ligament, which will heal on its own. Read more
