Weaver put on IR
Houston Texans12/28/2006 12:09 PM The Houston Chronicle reports the Texans placed DE Anthony Weaver on injured reserve with a rotator cuff injury he suffered during Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts. Weaver will undergo surgery to repair the shoulder injury this week, and recovery is expected to take four to six months. "We're going to get it fixed as soon as possible and get him going on rehab," HC Gary Kubiak said. "I think he could probably fight through it, but instead of him going out there this week and making it worse, we'll go ahead and try to get it fixed. The Texans signed DE Earl Cochran from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. He will play on Sunday. Read more
