Coach, players focus on Raiders
Cincinnati Bengals12/05/2006 8:06 AM The Dayton Daily News reports the Bengals won't be looking past the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. HC Marvin Lewis won't allow it. "Look past Oakland to who?" Lewis asked. The Monday night game at Indianapolis on Dec. 18. "Oh, I didn't know that's who we played afterward," Lewis said. "We don't have to worry about that. There shouldn't be a letdown. Every time you go out there, you've got an opportunity to lose if you don't play well enough. That's the way it's supposed to be." The 2-10 Raiders have been reduced to playing the spoiler's role. They can ruin the Bengals' playoff hopes with an upset. "We know what's at stake," QB Carson Palmer said. "We've lost to teams we shouldn't have lost to and learned our lesson. This is a team we shouldn't lose to, and we've got to play great football. We need to handle our business. We can't take them lightly." Read more
