Kansas City got Browns' best effort
Cleveland Browns12/05/2006 8:02 AM The Dayton Daily News reports the Cleveland Browns succeeded Sunday against Kansas City because they were focused and emotionally ready, players and coaches said. Why can't this happen every week? "Human nature," Browns HC Romeo Crennel said at his Monday press conference. "When you look around the league, you see it happening all the time. To get up every week, to play at the maximum level â that's tough to do." Crennel traced some of the Browns' recent difficultly to the Nov. 19 Pittsburgh loss in which a late lead disappeared: "We put quite a bit into it, and to end up losing that game, that did take something out of us." The following week brought numerous distractions, mainly from the mouth of WR Braylon Edwards. "That also takes something out of you," Crennel said. "Then you play a good team (Cincinnati), and they start rolling, and you're not able to stop them and you've got a demoralizing (30-0) loss. But the guys on this team have some pride, and I didn't think they'd lay another egg." Read more
