Jaguars awaiting word on Leftwich's ankle surgery
Jacksonville Jaguars11/22/2006 8:56 AM The Florida Times-Union reports Jaguars QB Byron Leftwich was scheduled to have left ankle surgery on Tuesday in Birmingham, Ala., but whether the procedure was a success wasn't immediately known. Team spokesman Dan Edwards hadn't received any information regarding the surgery as of Tuesday evening and couldn't confirm whether Leftwich underwent the procedure. Leftwich's agent, Tom Condon, didn't return calls seeking comment. Leftwich has been tight-lipped about his injury, saying he'd further discuss the situation sometime this week. Read more
