The Contra Costa Times reports WR Jerry Rice, the 49ers' greatest record setter, got his emotional and star-studded farewell ceremony Sunday. RB Frank Gore, the 49ers' newest record setter, got a game ball for his franchise-best 212-yard rushing effort. As for the 49ers, they got their third straight win, a 20-14 home triumph over the team they're trying to unseat in the NFC West, the Seattle Seahawks. "I'm happy about getting the record," Gore said, "but I just want to win games. As long as we keep winning games, I could have 50 or 60 yards." Read more
