Kerney out with chest injury
Atlanta Falcons11/13/2006 5:58 PM The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons DE Patrick Kerney will be out for an extensive length of time with a chest injury suffered in Sunday's 17-13 loss to Cleveland, HC Jim Mora said Monday. Kerney had an MRI exam early Monday morning and the results were not known by the time Mora had his news conference. However, Mora said the team is preparing to not have Kerney any time soon, leaving the Falcons to play some, if not all, of their remaining seven games, with undrafted rookie Paul Carrington and training camp signee Josh Mallard to fill the void. Atlanta is not expected to sign a free agent to replace Kerney. Read more
