Culpepper pays Lions a visit
Detroit Lions10/28/2008 3:52 PM The Detroit Free Press reports free agent QB Daunte Culpepper is visiting the Lions today, after reportedly canceling a visit to Kansas City and saying he is in negotiations with a team that is a better fit. Lions spokesman Bill Keenist confirmed that Culpepper is in town for a visit. If the Lions are just doing their homework on Culpepper, that makes sense. They often look at free agents on Tuesdays, the players’ day off, in case they need to sign someone down the road. But if the Lions are considering signing Culpepper, I’m not sure how much sense that makes, unless they think he can help them next year. Read more
