Rudi Johnson having fun teaching rookies
Detroit Lions09/13/2008 9:38 AM The Detroit Free Press reports something is going on in the Lions' backfield. But no one is talking about it. Not Rudi Johnson. Not Kevin Smith. The two running backs sure are smiling and laughing about it, though. Johnson, without going into detail, said he gets a kick out of being an eight-year veteran playing with three rookies: Smith, running back Marcus Thomas and fullback Jerome Felton. "I catch myself laughing a lot of times," Johnson said Friday. "It's kind of funny. I'm here with a bunch of rookies. But it's exciting and a good chance to make sure they're doing the right thing, teach them a little bit what I learned in the past." So the rookies must call him Mr. Johnson, right? Read more
