Lewis likely to play Sunday

The Detroit Free Press reports the day after it happened, LB Alex Lewis hobbled into the Lions' locker room and knew his left knee was in such bad shape that he would have to invoke superhero rhetoric to illustrate the severity of his injury. In the second game this season, Lewis suffered a bad sprain of the medial collateral ligament. Lewis had started as the Lions' strong-side linebacker against Chicago, just has he had done in the opener against Seattle. In the fourth play against the Bears, as Lewis tried to overpower an offensive lineman, he was struck by a teammate. Read more
