No Dolphins ticket increase until May 9

For the first time in a decade, the Dolphins are freezing season-ticket prices. On the heels of a 1-15 season, the team announced Friday that fans can buy season tickets by May 9 for the same price as in 2007. "We want to show our appreciation for our most devoted fans," Dolphins spokesman George Torres said. Team officials expect to announce an increase in the price of season and individual-game tickets to take effect after May 9, but the Dolphins were not saying how much. The freeze until late spring signals the club won't ask most fans to pay in advance for presumed improvement under Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells. Parcells, nicknamed Tuna, has hired a new coach and general manager. Parcells was not directly involved in the pricing decision, which was a business call considered outside the scope of football operations. Read more
