Lions fire Mike Martz
Detroit Lions01/02/2008 1:43 PM The Detroit Free Press reports Mike Martz confirmed today the Lions had fired him as offensive coordinator. âThe only thing I will tell you is, I came here because of Rod,â Martz said in a brief telephone interview with the Free Press. âRodâs a terrific coach, a man of great character. âWe fell short of what we wanted to do offensively, and I regret that.
