Tomlinson leading the pack

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports RB LaDainian Tomlinson begins today leading the NFL rushing race by 113 yards over RB Adrian Peterson and 127 yards over RB Brian Westbrook. The Raiders have allowed a league-worst 4.9 yards per carry this season, although it should be noted that in their past three home games, they yielded 78, 86 and 58 yards, with an average per carry of 2.7. Then again, this is Tomlinson, and this is Oakland, where LT's career average (six games) is 140.5 yards and his worst game in the past five seasons was 131. He had 198 yards and four TDs when these teams played in October in San Diego. Read more
