Former Giants GM Accorsi advising Blank

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons owner Arthur Blank has enlisted former New York Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi as an adviser in his search for a new general manager and a coach, according to Kim Shreckengost, chief of staff for the Falcons. Accorsi, who retired in January, is working in conjunction with Blank and team president Rich McKay, Shreckengost said. McKay's involvement shows that he has not been completely removed from making football decisions, although he is working to find his replacement as GM. Last week, Blank said McKay, who has served as president and general manager since 2003, would no longer be GM once a new person is hired. He will retain his post as team president, Blank said.
