Chicago Bears 12/27/2007 7:02 AMThe Chicago Sun-Times reports the Bears will need to create an opening on their 53-man roster today as the team is expected to sign WR Brandon Rideau to a contract. Rideau had inside position for a roster spot during training camp and preseason before a serious right ankle injury suffered in the third exhibition game at Indianapolis sidelined him. He ended up being waived after reaching an injury settlement with the club. Heâs an intriguing prospect who spent most of last season on the practice squad. Rideau is 6-3, 200 pounds, and can run well. The Bears really donât have someone like that on the roster currently.Read more
