Injuries force key Titans out
Tennessee Titans12/17/2007 9:59 AM The Nashville Tennessean reports Titans C Kevin Mawae left Sunday's game with the Chiefs in the second quarter with a calf injury and was soon joined by plenty of company on the sideline. OG Benji Olson (thigh contusion), LB Ryan Fowler (right shoulder) and DT Albert Haynesworth (hamstring) did not finish. Nickel back Vincent Fuller (right shoulder) missed significant time. CB Nick Harper (ankle) LB Keith Bulluck and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch were also banged up, but returned to help the Titans finish off the Chiefs 26-17. Eugene Amano replaced Mawae and was one of several reserves to fill in admirably. "We're just fortunate to have guys that are smart, that pay attention to make plays when they (fill in),'' Coach Jeff Fisher said. "I don't have much to say injury-wise right now. ⦠It's part of the game this time of year and we'll do our best to heal up.'' Read more
