Newman says Kitna comment was a joke
Dallas Cowboys12/08/2007 8:21 AM The Star-Telegram reports Cowboys CB Terence Newman didn't back off his comments made on Sirius Satellite radio this week about going after Detroit QB Jon Kitna. But Friday he said the comments were in fun and not designed to be taken quite so literally. "I was really making more a joke out of it," Newman said. "I think I've blitzed maybe four times this year. It's not, 'Oh, I'm going to take his head off.' I was trying to be funny."
