Losing out on $20M no big deal to Briggs

The Chicago Sun-Times reports LB Lance Briggs was walking off the practice field Tuesday evening when he was asked his thoughts on facing his might-have-been team Thursday. Briggs crunched his brow in confusion. ''What do you mean?'' he said. The Washington Redskins offered a swap of first-round picks with the Bears in an effort to get Briggs. The team that reportedly agreed to give him $20 million in guaranteed money as part of a multiyear deal that would average $7.5 million per season if they could reach a trade agreement with the Bears.
