Judge could've been tougher on Vick co-defendants

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports U.S. District Court Judge Henry E. Hudson wasn't as tough as he could have been when sentencing two co-defendants of Falcons QB Michael Vick on felony charges related to dogfighting Friday. After calling Purnell Peace a "major player" in the dogfighting operation, known as Bad Newz Kennels that was run out of a property owned by Vick in Surry County, Va., Hudson gave him 18 months in prison, a maximum three years probation, a $250 fine and $100 special assessment.
