Trainer gives favorable report on Leftwich
Atlanta Falcons11/16/2007 8:07 AM The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons QB Byron Leftwich suffered no setbacks from his ankle surgery and appears set to take over the starting quarterback spot. "I was happy with the report I got this morning from the trainer that there wasn't any increased swelling or stiffness after yesterday's practice," Falcons coach Bobby Petrino said Thursday. "Again, we have to see what tonight brings and what [Friday] brings because it's really the first time that he's worked real hard on it for two days in a row for three weeks." Read more
