Bengals can't seem to get the running game on track
Cincinnati Bengals11/16/2007 7:30 AM The Dayton Daily News reports the Bengals need to turn down the volume on the rap music in the locker room and crank up Jackson Browne's 1977 classic "Running On Empty." The song title represents the club's zip-zilch-nada rushing attack, which ranks 28th in the NFL at 86.3 yards a game. Head coach Marvin Lewis believes there's a cure for this ailment. The remedy lies in the trenches. "We have to be more physical at the point of attack," Lewis said. "We have to finish (blocks and runs). We have to get the right hats on the right people, keep our pads down and get after it. We have to roll up our sleeves and get dirty." Read more
