Jordan now the backup to Fargas

The Mercury News reports on the surface, Raiders RB LaMont Jordan's fall from grace seems mind-boggling. After all, he ranked second in the NFL through four games with 424 rushing yards and was the main reason the Raiders had the league's top-ranked rushing attack. However, there's more at work in Jordan being displaced by RB Justin Fargas than the matter of production. It's the time of the year during a disappointing season when first-year coach Lane Kiffin has turned his attention toward the future. Kiffin wants to take an extensive look at Fargas so he can make an informed decision about whom to bring back next season. Read more
