Halftime deficits turning into losses

The Dayton Daily News reports one of the most disturbing trends of the Cincinnati Bengals' 2007 season is their fall from grace in the first half of games. Like bungee jumpers, they spiral downward for 30 minutes, then bounce upward in the second half. The Bengals' only halftime lead this season — in the opener against Baltimore — resulted in a victory. They fought back from a 20-10 deficit to beat the New York Jets, leaving Cincinnati 1-5 when trailing at intermission.
