Smith's verbal shot misfires

WR Dwayne Jarrett is a rookie who, despite being a second-round pick, has caught one more NFL pass than I have. Smith, who is in his seventh season, has undoubtedly tried to help Jarrett adjust. Smith is a leader, and that's what leaders do. But what Smith did to Jarrett, as opposed to for Jarrett, in the Panthers' locker room this week has nothing to do with leadership. Two reporters, one from the Charlotte Observer and one from the Gaston Gazette, were talking to Jarrett on Wednesday.
