The Dayton Daily News reports Jets tacklers, fourth-quarter leg cramps from more football work than he's ever had, even a cheap-shot punch from S Abram Elam as he lay on the ground after a long run — nothing stopped RB Kenny Watson in his tracks Sunday. Nothing, that is, until a Columbus writer came up in the dressing room after his out-of the blue, fill-in performance — 31 carries, 130 rushing yards, 27 receiving yards and three touchdowns — lifted the Cincinnati Bengals to a 38-31 victory over the New York Jets at Paul Brown Stadium.
