LB thriving even as Cincinnati defense struggles

Outside LB Landon Johnson, a fourth-year star from Purdue, has emerged as the unit's most consistent, reliable performer. His team-leading 36 tackles (22 solos) and two fumble recoveries — he scored on a 34-yard fumble return against Baltimore in the opener — are testaments to his talent and his ability to stay free of injury in 2007.
