Rivers hears the boos, is frustrated, too

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports one pass QB Philip Rivers tried to throw yesterday was going to be an 80-yard touchdown, according to his coach. A pass he did throw that might have been his best of the day was dropped 5 yards from the end zone. He wound up committing three turnovers and, for one of the few times in his young career, was booed by the home fans – individually and with his teammates. Loudly. “It's somewhat disappointing,” he said of the Qualcomm Stadium crowd's response during the Chargers' 30-16 loss to Kansas City. “We understand to an extent their frustration.
