So it shouldn't be such a surprise that the Heisman Trophy winner beat the odds yesterday when he survived the final major cutdown to make the Ravens' 53-man roster as the No. 3 quarterback. Smith, a fifth-round draft pick from Ohio State, was the 93rd-rated passer this preseason (51.6 quarterback rating), completing 48.6 percent of his passes and throwing for no touchdowns. Read more
