Porter optimistic he'll play in opener
Miami Dolphins08/28/2007 5:07 PM The Palm Beach Post reports high-priced LB Joey Porter's rehabilitation from minor knee surgery is ahead of schedule, making him more optimistic that he'll be ready for the Dolphins' Sept. 9 season opener at Washington. Porter, who had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Aug. 7, returned to practice and participated in some 7-on-7 drills and ran to test his knee in a practice setting. The nine-year veteran said he ran last week and experienced some minor, but expected, swelling. Read more
