Seahawks reach extension with Wallace

ESPN’s John Clayton reports the Seahawks settled on their backup quarterback of the present and the future by reaching a three-year extension for $5.4 million with QB Seneca Wallace. Wallace was scheduled to be a free agent after the season. His salary was scheduled to be $800,000. Stepping in for Matt Hasselbeck for four starts last season, Wallace played well enough in games and in the preseason to convince the Seahawks to lock him up through 2010. He will make $3.2 million in the first two years of the extension. Read more
