That is when the Dolphins open their regular season in Washington, and Porter wants to be ready to play following arthroscopic surgery last week, he said Monday."That would definitely be my goal - make sure I'm back for the regular season," Porter said six days after having his knee scoped by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. "It's a long season, so I don't want to do anything that is going to jeopardize anything." That means Porter, signed in May to a five-year contract worth at least $20 million, will most likely miss the team's remaining exhibition games against Kansas City, Tampa Bay and New Orleans.Read more
