Sources: Panthers closing on deals
Carolina Panthers07/26/2007 10:05 AM The Charlotte Observer reports the Carolina Panthers could have their two second-round picks under contract today, but first-round choice LB Jon Beason, like many first-rounders around the league, isn't close to a deal. According to league sources, C Ryan Kalil was close to an agreement late Wednesday night and significant progress has been made on a deal for WR Dwayne Jarrett, the Panthers' other second-round pick.
