Jets look to land Pats CB Gay
New York Jets04/10/2007 9:04 AM The Star-Ledger reports the Jets, who desperately want to upgrade their cornerback position, will visit with Patriots restricted free-agent CB Randall Gay today. Gay was scheduled to arrive in New York last night. Gay, a third-year pro who played two seasons under Jets HC Eric Mangini in New England, has been given a one-year, $1.3 million tender offer by the Patriots but has yet to sign it. If the Jets signed him to an offer sheet and the Patriots didn't match, they would receive a second-round pick as compensation. Read more
