Reid taking a leave to focus on family
Philadelphia Eagles02/13/2007 10:34 AM The Trenton Times reports Eagles president Joe Banner announced yesterday in Philadelphia that head coach and executive vice president of football operations Andy Reid will take a 4-5 week leave of absence in order to tend to family matters. With the legal cases of his sons, 23-year-old Garrett and 21-year-old Britt, in the hands of the Pennsylvania attorney general's office following separate incidents involving drugs and weapons Jan. 30, Reid will skip next week's NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and abdi cate some of his other responsibilities "until approximately mid- March," according to a press re lease issued by the team yesterday morning.
