Lelie deal goes Broncos' way

The Denver Post reports Friday, the Broncos became the clear winner in the unique three-way trade involving Atlanta and Washington in August. Utilizing a stipulation on playing time in the contract he signed with the Broncos when he was taken in the first round in 2002, WR Ashley Lelie voided his contract with the Falcons, which had one more year remaining. Lelie will become an unrestricted free agent in March. The other key figure in the deal, Washington RB T.J. Duckett, is also set to be an unrestricted free agent this spring. The Broncos will get an early third-round pick this year and a fourth-rounder in 2008 as their compensation in the deal. Read more
